Beşiktaş are in an injury crisis

Abdullah Avcı is not having an easy time with his player selection due to injuries, and yesterday did not bring good news. Victor Ruiz picked up a knock during training in the morning and according to the medical team, he’s suffering from a grade two strain on his soleus muscle. According to an official statement from the club, Ruiz will be out of action for 4 weeks.

Oğuzhan Özyakup and Gökhan Gönül, who were thought to be recovered, felt some pain yesterday in the training and had to stop. Özyakup is still expected to be fit for the Ankaragücü game whilist it is quite doubtful that Gönül will be available. However, there’s a good chance that the Turkish full-back will be ready to play against Galatasaray next week.

Dorukhan Toköz, who underwent surgery last week, and N’Koudou, who’s also recovering, won’t be available to pick due to injuries.
