Beşiktaş to persuade Marcelo to join in.

Lyon fans held up an inappropriate banner at their own player after their European game last night. Marcelo Guedes was a fan favorite when in Beşiktaş. The French side drew 2-2 with Leipzig at home in the Champions League. Right after the game ended, a Lyon fan jumped onto the pitch with a “donkey” banner saying “Leave the club Marcelo”.

Captain Memphis Depay saw it and run towards the fan to take the banner away. Marcelo’s teammates and the fans argued on the pitch, the security guards interfered.

Beşiktaş fans show their support

While the disrespect hit the headlines, Beşiktaş fans started sharing the hashtag “Come to Beşiktaş” to see the 32-year old Brazilian player back in the club. It is revealed that the former Beşiktaş player is not happy in France and wants to come back to Istanbul. Marcelo’s wife Tatiana still is a big fan of Beşiktaş and she visits the city regularly. Tatiana Guedes was recently spotted at Vodafone Part in the Denizlispor game.
