Avcı wants to open a new chapter

Beşiktaş have suffered a great bunch of unfortunate events in the first 7 weeks, both on the pitch and in executive manners, since appointing manager Abdullah Avcı. Having won only two of the seven games, it is clear that Beşiktaş are struggling under their new manager.

Despite being the second best team in the league in terms of possession rate, the Black Eagles are struggling with chance creation as they are 14th in the league in terms of clear-cut chances.

After beating league leaders Alanyaspor and putting a dent in their unbeaten streak, Beşiktaş will face Ankaragücü away from home after the international break. Avcı and his players will then play two critical games, against Braga and Galatasaray respectively.
